1. Who you're contracting with
Hearth is provided by Trey Leong, an individual based in Singapore (“Hearth”, “we”, “us”). If you have any questions about these Terms, contact us at legal@hearth.contact.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use Hearth. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Because Hearth is end-to-end encrypted, your password, passkeys, and recovery key are the only way to unlock your data.
We cannot recover your data if you lose all of your credentials. If you lose your password and your recovery key (and have no working passkey), your encrypted vault cannot be decrypted by anyone, including us. Please save your recovery key somewhere safe.
3. Your content
You own the information you store in Hearth. We claim no ownership over it. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and sync the encrypted form of your data so we can provide the service. Because your contact data is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot access its contents.
You are responsible for the information you record about other people and for using Hearth lawfully — including respecting the privacy and rights of the people you add to your CRM.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Hearth for any unlawful purpose or to store data you have no right to keep.
- Attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent the security of the service or other users' accounts.
- Disrupt or overload the service, or use automated means to abuse it.
- Resell, sublicense, or misrepresent the service as your own.
5. Plans, billing, and payments
Hearth offers a free tier (“Free”) with a limited number of contacts and a paid tier (“Pro”) that unlocks higher limits and additional features such as reminder digests and multi-device sync. Current features and limits are described in the app.
Paid subscriptions are processed by our third-party billing provider, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change on prospective notice.
6. Beta service & availability
Hearth is currently offered as a beta service and is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. As a product under active development, it may contain bugs, and we may modify, add, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not offer any service-level agreement (SLA) or uptime guarantee, and we may perform maintenance that causes temporary downtime. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.
7. Termination
You may stop using Hearth and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to Hearth or others. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we will delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hearth is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your every requirement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hearth will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or SGD 100.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continuing to use Hearth after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Hearth.
